Happy New Year! A few small ideas to implement in 2026 to enhance Health, Wealth, and Happiness. What’s on your list?

Health

1. Move when the sun is up.
Don’t sit when you can stand.
Don’t stand when you can walk.
Don’t walk when you can run.
And when there are stairs, climb them.

2. Sleep when the sun goes down.
Eliminate or at least minimise screen time.
Read a physical book every night.

3. Eat simple, natural food.
If your plate looks radically different from your grandparents’ plate, you’re inviting problems.

Wealth

1. Spend less than you earn.
If you buy things you don’t need, you’ll soon sell things you do. Never spend to signal to society.

2. Remember the Rule of 72.

Years to double your money:
72 ÷ Annual return (%).
Example:
At a 10% annual return:
72 ÷ 10 = 7.2 years

It also works in reverse. To double your money in six years:
72 ÷ 6 = 12%

3. Time is more valuable than money.
As you age, time becomes exponentially more precious. Use it wisely.

Happiness

1. Don’t compare or compete. Don’t try to become someone else. Focus on becoming the best version of yourself.

2. Learn to live with less. Remember: “The things you own end up owning you.”

3. Run your own race, at your own pace. “Nature is not in a hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” — Lao Tzu
